With the advent of mobile friendly web site requirements, the ILLW team thought it was time to upgrade the ILLW site to make Google and the entrants happy. Not only has the old site been given a facelift but two other site have been created as well There is now a mirror site at  http://lighthouse-weekend.international  which carries the bare essentials for mobile phone/tablet use, but there's also  http://wllw.org  which has a new version of the lighthouse list. It was intended to carry out these upgrades after August but an uninvited guest in the  ILLW.net  site brought things forward. So, lets see if they work properly by getting your entries in for this year's event. The elusive 300 is just around the corner so go to either web site and fill in an entry form and treat yourself to a fun weekend on the air at a lighthouse.

EL FARO "ILHA DA PAZ" SALDRA EN FEBRERO 19 – 23 de Febrero de 2015 Orlando  Perez, PT2OP, junto a  Fred  Carvalho, PY2XB y  Henrique  Schossland, PU5IKE, pondrán en el aire el  Faro   Ilha da Paz , ARLHS BRA-137, WLOTA L-1983, DFB SC-01, en la 7º edición del " FIN DE SEMANA DE LOS FAROS SUDAMERICANOS ", El faro esta ubicado en la  Ilha da Paz , IOTA SA-027, DIB SC-07, que pertenece al municipio São Francisco do Sul, en el estado  de Santa Catarina. Las coordenadas del faro: 26º11' lat.S y 048º29' long.W.  Grid: GG53st Orlando operará en fonía con el indicativo especial  PR5P , Fred en CW y fonia como  PR5X  y Henrique en fonía y digitales como  ZW5WIM . Es intención mantener dos estaciones simultáneas en las distintas bandas de 80 a 6 metros.   La expedición comenzará el jueves, 19, prolongándose hasta el lunes, 23.

El próximo 28 de septiembre, estará en el aire el Faro Cabo de Sacratif (Motril), con el indicativo EA3GKE/7, válido para el Diploma Faros de España  (FEA) con la referencia E0080.   Gracias EA7IKM.

Para comemorar essa importante data a estação  ZZ100FC  estará no ar no período de  30 de novembro até 03 de dezembro , com um time de operadores liderados pelo colega Ed, PS7DX. O Farol do Calcanhar tem código  ARLHS BRA-035  e é válido para o Diploma Faróis Brasileiros  DFB  como  RN-04 . Seu  Grid Locator é HI24gt É o maior farol da América Latina, estando situado no município de   Touros , a 96 km de   Natal , capital do estado do   Rio Grande do Norte ,   O Farol do Calcanhar está estrategicamente colocado numa região onde o  litoral brasileiro  faz um ângulo agudo, a chamada "esquina do continente". Hi Gang, I just ran across some  information about some lighthouse activations this weekend, Sept  22/23. The Italian Lighthouse Weekend is being held this weekend, Sept 22  and 23 from 0001Z Saturday to 2400Z Sunday. There is very little information on the website, but, as the old saying goes, worked first, worry  later. Website:    http://digilander.libero.it/ adriaticteam/index.htm Go to the bottom of  the page and click on the British Flag for English version. As you work your way  around the pages, you may come across a listing of lighthouses with ARLHS  numbers and other number references plus station calls. Annual ARLHS Spring Lites QSO Party & Contest It's here again! The Tenth Annual ARLHS Spring Lites QSO party and Contest March  31 st through April  8 th       The weather in the Northern hemisphere has warmed up. Spring is here, and already there are quite a few ARLHS members activating light beacons around the world. With the band conditions improving almost daily, this could be the best lighthouse event in several years. Comienzan los preparativos para la cuarta edición del  “Fin de Semana de los Faros   Sudamericanos”,  que se desarrollará entre el  viernes 24  y el domingo 26 de febrero de 2012. El mismo es organizado por el Radio Club Grupo DX Bahia Blanca en representación de la Republica Argentina, la Federacion de Radio Clubes De Chile (FEDERACHI). El Radio Club Uruguayo, el Radio Club Peruano, habiéndose agregado a partir de la cuarta edición, el Radio Club Venezolano. Los participantes argentinos ya pueden solicitar el permiso de los faros o balizas a ser operadas al Servicio de Hidrografía Naval.
