Según leo en dxing.at-communication.com, el antes archiconocido Romeo Stepanenko, 3W3RR, esta preso en USA por cibercrimen.


Se puede leer, a finales de los 90 creo una/s web/s dedicadas al cibercrimen, un tal Roman Vega, aka BOA.

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE MT ATHOS PENINSULA SV1GA/A Mount Athos is QRV. It was exactly fifty-years (50) ago in 1975, when SV1GA/A broke the silence and Mt. Athos was on the air from the monastic community in Greece. While the dedicated religious community of some 2000 monks in twenty monasteries, Month Athos is now in a glorious state with many new constructions and renovations underway. To honor the 50th anniversary of the 1975 activation, the original organizers: Aris SV1GA and Martti OH2BH were invited to come back to Mt Athos together with Adrian KO8SCA, Gabi YO8WW and Niko OH2GEK.  The SV1GA/A team has arrived in Mt. Athos today and is busy setting up their camp, up in the mountains. They should be on the air today but it would take 2 or 3 days to be fully operational. They have a permit for ten days. Muy importante sobre el nuevo modo FT2

  El hilo del foro de la Unión de Radioaficionados Españoles (URE) expone una controversia técnica y ética en torno al modo digital "FT2". El principal conflicto radica en que el desarrollador original del software Decodium 3.0 (IU8LMC) es acusado de violar la licencia de código abierto de WSJT-X al no publicar su código, aprovechándose del trabajo previo de Joe Taylor (K1JT). De hecho, Taylor ha manifestado que este modo no debería llamarse "FT2" —sugiriendo "MM2" en su lugar— y aclara que técnicamente se trata de FT4 transmitido al doble de velocidad, lo que resulta en menor sensibilidad y mayor ancho de banda, haciéndolo poco práctico para condiciones de señal débil. La situación se agrava por la incompatibilidad técnica total entre las dos implementaciones existentes: Decodium 3.0 y WSJT-X Improved (de DG2YCB, desarrollado mediante ingeniería inversa).
